MobilE - Virtual Thinkers
MobilE is web application system that helps in finding people that are the victims of disasters such as the one that happened in Haiti. The users send multimedia information at no cost and this information is sent to the system, this one sends it to people related to the people in need (family and organisation in the nearest area who can help).It locates the people in need of help and rank them by order of urgency. It has a mobile web version that accurately and rapidly provides all information needed to help the unfortunate people.

Virtual Assembly Point is a Crisis Management System that will help the emergency responses departments to have ground information before they get to the actual crisis location.with the information that the Virtual Assembly Point will provide, the rescue crew will be able to get manifestos,sort people according to needs, set different priorities and plan for and manage their resources properly.

It is mobile base because most of the functions are done on the mobile phone and the web section is for the rescue team.

Virtual Assembly Point is Crisis Management System that will help the Emergency Response Department to know and evaluate a tragedy before they reach the location of the tragedy.from the Virtual Assembly Point, the rescue team will be able to get manifesto, sort people according to their needs, set priorities according to the ground data, pull individual records for accountability purpose and plan for and manage the available resources properly.

Students in Higher Learning institutions in Tanzania are in need of a services which will give them some information for them to make decision within reasonable timing and without hassle. E.g getting Information (using Mobile phones )about Loan status, Accommodation Status, Tuition Fee status, Exams result etc while still on leave/vacation in their villages

Map Kibera is already mapping assets of the slum community. People who live there should be able to query the MK database thru SMS and find out where to go for medical help and other needed services. Local service providers could then also register the phone #s that query so they can send out relevant info.

It is a web application which can be used to buy and sell articles. The users of the system can create an item such as songs, movie ideas, story ideas, etc) for sale providing the description and sample of it. The buyers can bid by providing a bid amount (which should be greater than the previous bid)
Why the system?
Because most of people in Africa are unemployed yet they have talents and good ideas in their head only that they can’t express them, they have no where to be heard.

A web application that provides a simple interface for people to maintain an ongoing list of phone provider sms and mms gateways around the world, along with filters for each. This list would be stored in a database and could be called with some open APIs so that people building applications that need to send and receive sms and mms via those
gateways would easily be able to use the up-to-date list.

Why do we need this?
Currently, we are hard coding our list of addresses for sms and mms gateways, for example: @sms.att.com; @mms.att.com, etc.

It is an internet based application that can be accessed through out the world. The system can be used to launch surveys (Such as hospital services: How services are provided, in Schools: how teachers do their job, in government: how democracy and other things are performed etc) and record user responses. There will features like emails notifications of surveys, publishing of survey results, report generation etc. people/ users will be sending messages via phones, emails or postal mails.

Mass texting system that provides rural village with emergency info. Satellite phones will be provided and distributed by a prestigious mobile phone service such as AT&T or Verizon. This will provide a decent amount of capital and investment for such an extensive project, while allowing for a charitable donation for that company. Regions will be “hot spot” designated, and will be managed and operated individually to provide the specific nature of the information. Regional managers will also train individuals on the system.
