Masawa - kicking poverty in the apps!


Imagine if those without smartphones could have all of the Apps4Africa apps in the palm of their hands plus all of the other apps that organizations and governments are developing! Masawa makes this possible. Masawa is a foldering system on java-enabled phones (2.5B in the world) that allows users all over the world to have a whole suite of applications at their disposal, like an app store for the poor. So instead of just having one health app in Malawi or one agriculture app in Niger, user can have them both plus much more. Developers are also able to create apps for their local contexts and work with NGOs, IOs and government agencies to increase their income and experience.
